About Me

Sketching & PAINTING HI, MY NAME IS NEWTON AND I LOVE EXPLORE GALLERY SOME OF MY BEST WORK SCULPTURES & HANDICRAFTS Each piece is a dialogue — between Africa and Europe, between past and present, between the seen and the deeply felt.

At NT Art Gallery in Aberdeen, Newton curates not only his own visions, but opens doors for others to share their stories, creating a sanctuary where artistry and identity dance together in bold, brilliant harmony.
NEWTON ARTS More About Me Born of two worlds, Eriata Newton, known by the signature NT Art, paints not just with color, but with culture, memory, and meaning.

From the warm soul of Nigeria to the misty highlands of Scotland, his art becomes a bridge — one that speaks of journeys, roots, and the rhythms of migration. His hands mold sculptures that whisper heritage, sketch hyperrealistic portraits that echo truth, and layer mixed media that pulses with protest and pride.

About Us

Where Roots Remember, and Brushstrokes Speak Across Continents

NT Art Gallery is the creative sanctuary of Eriata Newton, the visionary Nigerian-born, British-based artist whose signature — NT Art — graces canvases with cultural depth and emotional resonance.

Newton’s work is more than a visual expression; it is a journey. One that flows from the sun-drenched earth of Africa to the mist-veiled landscapes of Scotland — weaving heritage into modernity, tradition into innovation. Through sculpture, paintings, hyperrealistic drawings, and mixed media, he tells stories that linger — of identity, migration, and the silent weight of social justice.

His exhibitions echo across borders — from the vibrant galleries of Nigeria to the storied halls of Scotland. Among them, the Glasgow Art Club, where Newton’s presence adds a modern rhythm to a classical chorus, grounding him deeply in the Scottish art scene.

But NT Art is not a voice for one alone.

In Aberdeen, where the gallery stands, Newton cultivates space not just for his own creations, but for others to rise. NT Art Gallery is a living canvas — a place where emerging and established artists converge, connect, and contribute to a shared dialogue of cultures, colors, and ideas.

Each wall holds more than art. It holds echoes of where we’ve been, visions of where we’re going, and the beauty found in between.

Sophie Rae

I came to support a friend, but I left inspired. I didn’t know visual art could hit this emotionally. I’ll definitely be back — and bringing more friends along.

I walked in expecting paintings. I left feeling like I’d traveled through stories, cultures, and time. Newton’s work speaks loudly without ever shouting.
